Further Offshore Emergency Training with CA-EBS

Objective

To provide delegates with an opportunity to practice and demonstrate skills, which is not possible to practice offshore during drills, exercises and normal offshore training.

The course includes elements that might be physical and potentially stressfull for the delegates.

Course Content

Safe behavior:
- Offshore risks, control and consequences.
- Environmental impact and disposal of waste.
- How the offshore safety is regulated and controlled.
- Procedures for prescription of Medicine and medic tasks.
- Alcohol and abuse policy.
- Requirements for protective equipment (PPE)
- Reporting Procedures (near miss, incident, accident).

Helicopter Safety and evacuation:
- Safety on board boarding on aircraft and arrival offshore.
- Emergency by helicopter flight.
- Use of Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS).
- Practical training with CA-EBS.
- Practical training of emergency landing on water as well as evacuation from the helicopter.

South Dredging, Evacuation and First Aid:
- Emergency offshore alarm and practical sea survival.
- Practical exercises in emergency situations
- Practical use of helicopter harness.
- Lifesaving First Aid incl. AED

Firefighting and Evacuation:
- Causes of fire.
- Fire extinguishing systems and detectors.
- The use of handheld fire extinguishers.
- Own rescue from completely or partially smoking rooms using escape mask.
