Helicopter safety - underwater escape training course
Do you intend to work offshore using helicopter? This course is conducted according to OPITO standards and aims to train personnel intended to work offshore, using helicopter as a means of transportation, so they can react safely in a helicopter emergency situation.
This course will provide familiarization with emergency in-flight procedures and equipment used in helicopters for the offshore Oil & Gas industry.
Upon completion of the course, participants will have obtained basic knowledge plus skills on:
- Helicopter safety
- Helicopter escape
- The use of a helicopter transit suit and life jacket
- Practice in using the Emergency Breathing System
- Evacuation from a helicopter
- Life raft procedures
- Underwater escape exercises and BRACE position
- Inflating life jackets in water
- Boarding a life raft
- Sea survival swim sessions
To provide familiarization with emergency in-flight procedures and equipment used in helicopters for the offshore Oil & Gas industry.
Target Group & Admission Requirements
This programme is designed to meet the offshore safety and emergency response training requirements for personnel working in the offshore oil and gas industry who will be supplied with a compressed air emergency breathing system (CA-EBS) during offshore helicopter travel.
No training pre-requisites are required.
