MBA Entrepreneurship

The MBA programme offers coursework in entrepreneurship with MBAs gaining experience by sitting on (A-Board) advisory boards of start-up companies and growing companies. We also offer opportunities for MBA participants to network with up-and-coming companies and start-ups through events hosted by Venture Cup Denmark or through participation in the Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship.

Real world experience through the integrated strategy project of four months with client companies

An international learning environment

Over 85% of our participants are from outside Denmark. This enables you to build a formidable international network from all over the world that you can benefit from many years to come. In 2010 we had participants from the India, Japan, Iceland, China, Moldavia, UK, USA, Austria, Venezuela, Zambia, Uganda, Germany and of course the Scandinavian countries.

We admit a maximum 50 participants each year to the Full-time MBA Program representing a diversity of cultural, professional and education background. 

The class is limited in size to make the MBA personal and encourage discussion and small group work.  Approximately, 90% of the participants come from outside Denmark, including 6 from Sweden. Other nationalities represented include Argentina, Bhutan, Brazil, Columbia, Spain, Tahiland, Indonesia, South Afrixa, Zambia etc.

The participants have work experience between 3 and 18 years and have an average age of 30.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• A university or business school degree (minimum a bachelor's or diploma degree)
• Minimum two years of work experience
• GMAT or CBS Admissions Test
• Two letters of recommendations
• A personal interview

Diverse, international student population: more than 85% are international and more than 35% are women.

Class size of maximum 50 participants each year offers individualized attention from faculty and the staff.

The faculty at the CBS Full-time MBA consists of a well-balanced combination of faculty from CBS and from reputable universities and business schools abroad. The selected professors from Denmark are the most renowned and distinguished professors from the departments at CBS.

The international faculty is chosen not only for their academic expertise, but also for the experience they have gained from applying their knowledge to real business problems and their ability to share and communicate their ideas.  Nationalities represented amongst the teaching staff include, USA, China, Brazil, Italy, Germany, UK, Iceland.

Torben Juul Andersen is Professor at the Center for Strategic Management and Globalization and teaches the courses in Managerial Decision Making and Strategic Management at the Full-Time MBA Program. His scholarly activities are focused on corporate strategy development, effective strategy-making processes, and strategic risk management issues. He is the author of several books on multinational and strategic risk management and his research is widely published in international journals.

For the full-time MBA program commencing in September 2010, the tuition fee will be DKK 260,000 incl. Vat.

Furthermore, the required text books, transportation, lodging and other living expenses for a single student is estimated at DKK 110,000 for the one-year program.
